Enjoy outdoor activities in Kiho Town!
Discovering sacred and spiritual sites, being astonished by the marvels of Japanese cuisine, or enjoying the peacefulness of the countryside make a trip to Japan such a unique experience. But what about adding some thrills to your next journey? Mie Prefecture has got you covered. Located about three hours by car from Nagoya or Osaka, Kiho Town in the southernmost reaches of Mie Prefecture is blessed with magnificent mountains, lush forests, and amazing rivers and waterfalls. The perfect place for adventure!
With its triple-layer, MORZH was the hottest of the three tents. In terms of temperature, humidity, and sensation, it was a real sauna. As soon as we poured some water on the stones, we could feel the heat rising quickly. It didn’t even take ten minutes before we were sweating profusely, which felt great after the morning's canyoning.
After our first session of about 30 minutes, we couldn’t resist the call of the falls. We dashed out of the tent and jumped into the natural pool under the cascade. We could feel our hearts pumping hard, but it was such a reinvigorating experience.
We also enjoyed standing underneath the falls and feeling the exceptional power of the water. Watch out because it can be slippery!
Canyoning and sauna tents right next to the waterfalls are just two of the many outdoor activities you can enjoy in the Kiho area. There are also many wonderful natural sites to discover, so make sure to take your time to get the most out of this area!
