Ise Jingu Naiku (Kotaijingu) 伊勢神宮 内宮(皇大神宮)

Go on a pilgrimage to the most sacred place in Japan.

In the old days, Ise Jingu Shrine was at the top of all the shrines in Japan, and many Japanese "desired to visit there at least once in their lifetime".
Amaterasu-Omikami, who is believed to be the sun that fosters all creations, and who has also been revered as a guardian of Japan, is enshrined here.

When you cross this bridge, and walk along the long approach with gravels, you will reach the sacred area.

Ise Jingu is also famous as a place for the beautiful cherry blossoms and red coloring of leaves, and the best season to see will be the end of March through April for the cherry blossoms and the end of November to beginning of December for the red coloring of leaves.
