Takada Honzan Senjuji 高田本山専修寺

Located in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture.
In general, the name is called Takada Honzan.
Within the vast site, there are two buildings designated as national treasures and 11 buildings designated as nationally designated important cultural properties.
Mieido, designated as a national treasure, is the largest building in the temple, and is the fifth largest Edo period temple in Japan.
Nyoraido, another building designated as a national treasure, features sculptures based on old Chinese stories, such as elephants and dragons.
This temple is also famous as a temple where you can enjoy various lotus plants on the premises.

The Sanmon Gate (Entrance) is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Mieidō and Nyoraidō halls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Access by public transportation
Take the JR line from "Tsu" station and get off at “Ishinden” Station.
It takes 5 minute by walk from “Ishinden” Station.
