Mikimoto Pearl Island ミキモト真珠島

The birthplace of Mikimoto Pearls, internationally renowned for their high quality.

Mikimoto Pearl Island, a green lush island sitting on Toba Bay, is the very first place in the world that succeeded in culturing pearls.
On the large island, there are facilities such as the Pearl Museum, where you can learn everything about pearls, and the Pearl Plaza (shop and restaurant) and you will also be able to watch the diving demonstration by "Ama" (women divers) wearing their traditional white diving costume.

Close by the bronze statue of Kokichi Mikimoto, who was called the Pearl King, there is a heart-shaped stone called the "Love Love Stone" (a lucky stone that will bring you love and happiness), which is used as one of the curbstones of the shrub of sago palms.
Please try to find it.
