EXPLORING THE BEAUTY OF KOMONO TOWN～Mountain,Aqua,Forest～

Today we headed to the beautiful town of Komono, home to not only one of the most famous mountains in Mie Prefecture but also the only place you can ski in Mie, Mt.Gozaisho! Mt.Gozaisho was our first destination of the day.
Daniel and I last visited Mt. Gozaisho in the winter of 2008 when we took our children sledding.I was excited to be able to come to Gozaisho for the first time in a while.

I’ve been living in Mie Prefecture, Japan, for the past 23 years. Although I have been living in Mie for a long time, I’m ashamed to say that I don’t know much about the prefecture I live in.
So,recently, my husband and I started doing some day-trips around Mie.

We also tried this attraction called "the Tarzan Swing" (It’s a free fall jump except that we were still attached to the security cable). You jump and a couple of meters away, you’re caught by the net. It was a trilling experience. Even though the height still frightens me a bit, after spending 2 hours up at these trees in this amazing forest, I started feeling comfortable and less scared. I think the hardest and probably the scariest part here, in this activity is to jump, so once I jumped, there was no time to be frightened, and just like the zip slide, I enjoyed the moment. Once the jump was finished, a funny thought came to my mind “Oh that’s how a soccer ball feels”.

Nature is perfect! The trees made this perfect shape of a heart! Is this the blessing from the sky or what?

We had a blast! This was an unique and unforgettable experience!

This was our 2nd time in Komono town, and as you can see, this beautiful countryside town surrounded by gorgeous mountains provided us another amazing experience. We highly recommend you visit Komono town and I’m sure you will be provided by tons of activities to do here, most of them, in contact with nature.
